The Thames Boat Club is situated in the heart of the Thames at Bray marina. The Club easily allows boaters to pay monthly or annually to use our club boats without the financial commitment of owning a boat. Its the perfect gateway to try boating or even extend your boating years.
Training
We want you to have the best experience possible and ensure you remain safe at all times. To do that you will be taken out for half a day when you join the club to talk you through everything you need to know to go boating on the Thames. This will range from navigating through a lock, mooring up on a bankside mooring to being aware of your surroundings or passing boats, and finally the Thames rules & regulations.
Damage
We take great pride in keeping our boats presentable for the next member to use and all of our boats are protected with fendering to prevent damage. In the unlikely event damage is caused to a vessel due to human error, the member will be liable for the first £750 excess.
Fuel
When you arrive your boat will be full of fuel ready for your day out, just before you bring the boat back you are expected to fill the tank to full before returning the boat onto its mooring, just like you would with a hire car. Fuel cost is not included in your membership.
Safety
All our boats come equipped with lifejackets plus have been put through the more vigerous Hire Boat Safety Inspections and comply with CE Certification. All our vessels are also tracked so we can ensure your safety.
Joining Fee
The boat club has an initial joining fee of £1,499, this is a one off payment and non refundable. However should you later decide you would like to purchase your very own boat, the joining fee will be deducted from the purchase price when you buy any New or Used boat from Bray Marine Sales and you can end your boat club membership with one months notice if you wish.
